° A story Saturday on D1 about a local company developing a nontoxic industrial machining fluid misstated the size of an angstrom in relationship to a meter. An angstrom is equal to one ten-billionth of a meter. ° A headline Saturday on B5 incorrectly characterized two charter school officials who were sentenced for fraud. They are from Sierra Vista. ° Ireland is a member in its own right of the European Union, having been admitted in 1973. A map Sunday on A4 showed it as part of the United Kingdom. The map also gave incorrect figures for the area and population of Malta, which encompasses 122 square miles and has slightly more than 400,000 people. ° Rafael Madrigal is the vice president of advance planning at Evergreen Mortuary, Cemetery and Crematory. His title was incomplete in a Wednesday column on B1. ° The wrong photographs ran with information for the following students in the Senior Class Achievers section that appeared in the May 2 newspaper. Jennifer V. Nalani Singer attends Catalina Foothills High School; Jennifer Varela attends University High School. Also, the photograph for Mica Frantz, a senior at Canyon Del Oro High School, was not included. The Star wants its news reports to be fair and accurate.
