Marketing the numbers

From one year to the next, the local United Way annual marketing report added the words "projected" and "operating budget," indicating that these yearly reports don't contain audited financial statement information.

Charity watchdogs require the use of audited numbers because they are verified for accuracy by independent accountants. image
