Tucson, Arizona | Published: 07.05.2008
Jamie D'Antona hit three homers — all off Salt Lake starter Dustin Moseley — and had five RBIs Friday night to lead the Tucson Sidewinders to an 8-5 victory over the Bees at Franklin Covey Field in Salt Lake.
D'Antona hit a solo homer in the first, just after Trent Oeltjen went deep, to give the Sidewinders a 2-0 lead. Oeltjen's homer was his fifth.
In the third, D'Antona hit a two-run shot to score Oeltjen, who had singled. And in the fifth, D'Antona hit his 13th of the season, a two-run homer that scored Tim Raines Jr., who had doubled to lead off the inning.
Oeltjen and Donnie Kelly also had three hits. Kelly joined the homer parade with his sixth, which led off the fourth inning.
