Marriage proposal is quarterback's first

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady arrived at Tuesday's media day expecting to field more than his share of his wacky questions. But the question popped by a Mexico City reporter topped them all.
Early into Brady's question-and-answer session, TV Azteca reporter Inés Gómez Mont asked the star quarterback to marry her. Did we mention she was wearing a wedding dress?
"Tom, I'm in love with you!" she howled. "Will you marry me please?"
Brady deflected the proposal about as deftly as he has dodged inquiries about his injured ankle.
And he blushed, just a little.
"Are you really? Wow. I've never had a proposal," Brady said, fumbling for the right words. "What's your name first?"
As ludicrous as it might sound, Brady's wedding proposal might not have been the silliest question asked Tuesday. Here are our five favorites:
Q. What's it like to be the biggest stud in football?
A. I don't look at myself like that. I just love playing football — and whatever goes along with that is great.
Q. Who are you rooting for in this weekend's rugby match between England and Wales?
A. I'm rooting for England (because of) my English roots.
Q. Can you say "el Super Bowl es aqui?"
A. Like, the Super Bowl is here? I can't. Your Spanish is better than mine. OK, "El Super Bowl es aqui."
Q. Do you make fun of (tackle) Nick Kaczur because he's Canadian?
A. We don't. We should, though. He said he had to be home early last night because he said Canadian time is different. Is Canadian time different?
Q. You like South American women; what do you think about Latin women?
A. (Grinning) I do get shy. Ask those other guys about their taste and the girls they date.
