A Tucson tradition returns today with the start of the 82nd annual La Fiesta de los Vaqueros. The weeklong rodeo features more than 700 contestants from across the United States and Canada competing for more than $290,000 in prize money.

The rodeo is held at the Tucson Rodeo Grounds, 4823 S. Sixth Ave.

Below is a day-by-day schedule. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are not full rodeo days.

Today

1 p.m. Dodge Mutton Bustin' and Justin Junior Rodeo

2-4:30 p.m. ProRodeo competition

Sunday

Tough Enough to Wear Pink Day

Cowboys, cowgirls and fans wear pink and $1 of every paid admission is donated to the Southern Arizona Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer programs.

1 p.m. Dodge Mutton Bustin' and Justin Junior Rodeo

2-4:30 p.m. ProRodeo competition

Admission: $11-$18 

Monday and Tuesday

8 a.m. Timed-events competition — Barrel Racing, Steer Wrestling, Tie-Down and Team Roping only

Admission: $5, children under 13 free

Wednesday

8 a.m.: Barrel racing

9:30-11 a.m.: Gold Card team roping

Noon to 5 p.m. Mike Cervi Jr. memorial team roping: A non-sanctioned event to honor the late roper from Marana. Proceeds benefit the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund.

Admission: $10, children under 13 free

Thursday

9 a.m.: Tucson Rodeo Parade
