MILWAUKEE — Corey Pavin shot a 2-under 68 Saturday to take a two-stroke lead over Jerry Kelly in the U.S. Bank Championship.
Pavin birdied five holes — but made his first three bogeys of the tournament — to complete three rounds at 17-under 193 on the Brown Deer Park Golf Course.
Kelly shot a 64. Former Tucson Open winner Frank Lickliter (64) and D.J. Trahan (66) were 14 under, and Shaun Micheel (65), Billy Andrade (66) and Nathan Green (67) followed at 12 under.
Pavin, 46, has not won on tour in 10 years. He started Saturday by playing seven holes to finish his second round at 64 to move to 15 under.
On Thursday, he set a nine-hole PGA Tour record with a 26 on the par-34 front side, and tied the record for lowest score in the first 36 holes of a PGA Tour event at 125.
LPGA Tour
EVIAN, France — Michelle Wie had a two-shot lead after 11 holes, and seemed poised to answer all of the questions about when her first pro win was going to come.
Then the 16-year-old bogeyed the 13th hole. That was all Karrie Webb needed.
The Australian became the LPGA Tour's first three-time winner this season, shooting a 4-under 68 Saturday for a one-stroke victory over Wie and 42-year-old Laura Davies in the Evian Masters. Wie closed with a 68; Davies shot a 67.
Webb finished at 16-under 272. Ex-Wildcats Lorena Ochoa (67) and Annika Sorenstam (70) finished at 13 and 9 under par.
Champions Tour
TURNBERRY, Scotland — Loren Roberts shot a 1-under 69 Saturday, the only score under par in the third round, to take a four-stroke lead in the Senior British Open.
Roberts, who won the first three events on the Champions Tour this season, overcame rainy and windy conditions to move closer to his first senior major title. He had an 11-under 199 total.
Eduardo Romero missed a 5-foot par putt on the final hole to finish with a 73. He fell to 7 under, two shots ahead of Tim Simpson (72).
Friendship Cup
UA men's golfer Ben Fox won his individual match Friday to help the United States extend its lead at the USA China Friendship Cup in Beaumont, Calif.
The U.S. has a 12-6 lead after two rounds.
Fox downed Hu Mu 5 and 4.
The biannual Friendship Cup features 12-person teams of eight men and four women. All players on the U.S. team completed their freshman seasons in 2005-06.
European Tour
ALVESLOHE, Germany — Robert Karlsson shot a 6-under 66 Saturday to take a two-stroke lead over Lee Westwood after the third round of the Deutsche Bank Championship.
Karlsson has a 20-under 196 total. Westwood shot a 67.
