Tucson: the choices we makeARIZONA DAILY STAR From February 25 through March 11, readers of the Arizona Daily Star were encouraged to log on to StarNet and participate in a 100-question Choices Survey. The survey's intent was to gauge the collective values, ethics and faith of Tucson-area residents. Respondents were asked to answer 10 questions in each of 10 categories -- Ethics/Morality/Values, Family, Children, Health Care, Free/Personal Time, Food/Beverage, Employment/Workplace, Transportation/Travel, Education and Residential. There was also a special 20-question Teen Survey created for locals in the 13-17 age bracket. A total of 5,150 people participated in the Choices Survey -- 2,328 male and 2,822 female. 859 readers were between the ages of 18-34, 2,132 between 35-54 and 2,159 that were 55 years or older. For the Teen Survey, 537 people responded. Reporter Stephanie Innes, who covers issues of faith and values for the Star, highlights the conclusions of the Choices Survey.
