At Desert View, Nogales (6-4, 2-3 4A-I Kino) was able to take control against Desert View late in the second quarter and never looked back. Most of the first half was back and forth with neither team able to stop the other one. Both teams put up a considerable amount of yardage.

The second half was a different story as Nogales shut down Desert View (2-8, 0-5). The Apaches were equally effective through the air and on the ground.

• Highlight reel: Andy Garcia eluded numerous Jaguars defenders on a 47-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

• Player of the game: Garcia. The Nogales running back rushed for 154 yards on 13 carries.
