Injured Cardinals close to coming back; even Boldin not ruled outTHE ASSOCIATED PRESS

TEMPE — The bulk of the wounded Arizona Cardinals took part in at least a portion of the team's practice Thursday.
Getting a chance to play the Cowboys on Sunday was added incentive.
"I definitely want to play, man," cornerback Rod Hood said. "You just know this is going to be a big game for us, and it's a big game for them."
Hood went out with a groin injury in the first half of last Sunday's 41-17 victory over Buffalo.
Six injured Arizona players took part in limited practice. Among them was safety Adrian Wilson, a game-time decision a week ago because of a hamstring injury.
Wilson played only on third downs. He leveled Buffalo quarterback Trent Edwards on the third play of the game, knocking him from the game for good with a concussion.
"He's better than he was last week," coach Ken Whisenhunt said of Wilson. "Obviously, he's a little sore from having played in the game."
Even wide receiver Anquan Boldin was on hand to watch the practice and "did a little workout," Whisenehunt said. Boldin is recovering from surgery to repair a sinus fracture, the result of a vicious hit from Jets safety Eric Smith, who was fined and suspended.
Whisenhunt said he would not rule out Boldin playing on Sunday.
"I've learned that you can't rule 'Q' out of anything. That's been my experience with him," Whisenhunt said. "We'll see how he feels tomorrow and Saturday. Obviously, he's recovering quickly."
QB Kitna's starting streak could end
ALLEN PARK, Mich. — Jon Kitna's 36-game starting streak with the Lions is in jeopardy.
Kitna missed a second straight practice Thursday because of an injured back, leaving Dan Orlovsky and Drew Stanton to split snaps.
Lions offensive coordinator Jim Colletto said the team might not know if Kitna can play against the Vikings on Sunday until pre-game workouts.
Orlovsky replaced Kitna during the third quarter of 34-7 loss to Chicago on Sunday, the first playing time of his four-year career. Orlovsky hurt his ankle and knee, but Colletto said he was healthy enough to practice. Stanton, a second-round pick last year, was on injured reserve as a rookie and has not played this season.
Extra points
● Browns sent tight end Kellen Winslow to the doctor for tests after he missed his second straight day of practice with an unspecified "illness."
Browns coach Romeo Crennel said Winslow, who has been plagued by injuries throughout his NFL career, has been sick for two days. Crennel would not say if Winslow would play in Monday night's game against the Giants.
● Cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones will not be disciplined by the Cowboys for a scuffle with his bodyguard that team owner Jerry Jones said resulted from joking banter that got out of hand and was quickly settled.
"They were literally kidding each other," Jerry Jones said Thursday. "They were jiving around … and all of a sudden one of them starting saying some things, and here you go."
● Chargers wide receiver Chris Chambers missed practice Thursday, and it is likely that he will miss Sunday night's home game against the Patriots.
● Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck missed his second straight practice Thursday but is expected to start Sunday's game against Green Bay.
● Dolphins assistant coach Jim Reid is home recovering from surgery after an undisclosed illness.
