Sophomore, Cienega golf

Why did you start playing golf? "When I was 8, I was watching Tiger (Woods) on TV in his Grand Slam (period). And watching him win tournament after tournament I said, 'Someone needs to beat this guy and why not me.' Ever since then, my dad has helped me golf and eventually hope to achieve playing on the PGA Tour."

Favorite pro player? "I don't have a favorite because I like to look at the sport in general and look at everyone's mannerisms. I try to look at it and see what kind of things from certain players I can take from and use."

Who is the better Grau golfer? "That's tough to say. My sister definitely has the will power when she wants to use it and depending on how I'm playing might determine who ends up winning."

Do you know your sister's favorites?

Favorite snack before a match: Nikko guessed Cheez-It crackers. Kirsti answered Cheez-Its.

Favorite movie: "I have no idea," says Nikko; Kirsti answered "The Dark Knight."

Favorite computer game: Nikko guessed "The Sims." Kirsti answered "Zoo Tycoon 2."

Best dresser: Nikko guessed himself; Kirsti said Nikko is the better dresser.

Freshman, Cienega golf

Why did you start playing golf? "I saw that my brother was winning, and I didn't really like that. I decided to start playing so I could get some trophies, too. I like how it's individual so you're doing your own thing."

Favorite pro player? "On the PGA Tour, I like Phil Mickelson because I'm left-handed, and he is, too. On the LPGA Tour, it is (former UA standout) Leta Lindley. I like how she can maintain her emotions whether she does good or bad."

Who is the better Grau golfer? "Me. He has the distance, but normally I can beat him around the green."

Do you know your brother's favorites?

Favorite snack before a match: Kirsti guessed Nilla Wafers. Nikko answered Nilla Wafers.

Favorite movie: Kirsti guessed "Iron Man." Nikko answered "Iron Man."

Favorite computer game: Kirsti guessed "Civilization." Nikko answered "Civilization IV."

Best dresser: Kirsti guessed Nikko. Nikko said he is the better dresser as he likes to mix up his wardrobe. "She likes to wear pink a lot," Nikko says.
