Hi Corbett Field remains a candidate for the site of the team that will replace the Tucson Sidewinders next season.
Reid Park operations superintendent Carlos Guzman confirmed discussions have continued with former Sidewinders owner Jay Zucker about the use of Hi Corbett as a venue for a team in 2009. Guzman declined to say what type of team would play there.
"Nothing's been signed, sealed and delivered yet," Guzman said.
Zucker has talked to the independent Golden Baseball League, whose commissioner said he is interested in having a team in Tucson.
Zucker said he is looking at both Hi Corbett, former home of the Tucson Toros, and TEP, the current home of the Sidewinders, as sites. The Sidewinders are expected to move to Reno, Nev., for next season.
