Mike Moser, a forward from Portland, Ore., Tuesday gave his verbal commitment to play for the Arizona Wildcats basketball team starting in 2009.

He averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds in his junior season at Grant High School. The 6-foot-8, 200-pounder is listed as Rivals.com's 17th-best small forward for the 2009 class and the 85th-best overall player.

Moser came to Tucson for the Arizona Cactus Classic in May. On his first day as a UA assistant in May, Russ Pennell told Moser of a scholarship offer.

The University of Washington and the University of Portland had also offered the Grant High School soon-to-be senior a scholarship.
