Jon Gaston homered for the third straight day and Colt Sedbrook went 3 for 4 to extend his hitting streak to nine games as the Arizona Wildcats completed a sweep of Utah Valley State with an 11-4 victory Sunday at Kindall/Sancet Stadium.
Gaston hit his 11th homer of the season and C.J. Ziegler belted his team-leading 16th on Sunday to give the Wildcats (34-15) nine homers in the three-game series with the Wolverines (14-34).
Gaston was 5 for 12 with three homers, four RBIs and four runs scored in the series.
Sedbrook continued his late-season offensive surge by going 3 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs scored Sunday. The senior is batting .545 (18 for 33) with five doubles, 11 RBIs and five runs scored during that span.
UA starter Eric Berger (6-3) allowed two runs and two hits over five innings.
The series completed the UA's 2008 nonconference schedule. The Wildcats will host Stanford and Arizona State over the next two weekends in their final two series of the regular season.
