Sydney E. Salmon Award lectures — Arizona Cancer Center, Kiewit Auditorium, 1515 N. Campbell Ave. The late Salmon was the center's founding director. Each award recipient presents a 20-minute lecture. Timothy Bowden, Ph.D., will lecture on "Skin Cancer Chemoprevention: To Save Our Skin." Lakota Hollow Bones blessing and grounding ceremony — Spirit in Action Center, 6979 E. Broadway, No. 125. The late Sioux spiritual leader Fools Crow passed this ceremony on to those of the rainbow tribe. In this ceremony, the medicine person becomes a clean hollow bone for Wakan-Tanka, the great spirit. 1-3 p.m. May 13. Free. 751-7502.
