* The Metropolitan Tucson Convention and Visitors Bureau will hold its monthly "First Tuesday" lunch Dec. 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Arizona Inn, 2200 E. Elm St. Marti Murphy, an interpretive education planner for the Southern Region for Arizona State Parks, will discuss the role state parks play in promoting Tucson as a tourist destination. The Tucson Sidewinders are sponsoring the luncheon. Reservations are required by Friday. Visit www.visitTucson.org/info or call 624-1817, ext. 182. Cost is $22 for bureau members and $27 for non-members.
* The Tucson-Mexico Trade Office is holding its fifth annual awards ceremony at 11 a.m. Dec. 4 at the Radisson City Center, 181 W. Broadway. Five local people involved in trade with Mexico will receive awards at the luncheon. Cost to attend is $25 per person in advance, and $30 at the door. To RSVP, call the trade office at 791-5199.

* A wave of bombings in Turkey over the past week revived fears of terrorism on Wall Street, but the attacks didn't send stock prices plunging. The Dow Jones industrial average ended the week down 140.15, or 1.4 percent, finishing at 9,628.53. The Standard & Poor's 500 fell 15.07, or 1.4 percent, during the week, to 1,035.28. The Nasdaq composite index fell 36.38, or 1.9 percent, to close at 1,893.88.
* Wells Fargo officials on Friday said personal and financial information on a small percentage of its bank customers had been stolen, raising the risk of identity fraud. The stolen data included Social Security numbers.
Computers containing account information on customers with personal lines of credit were stolen earlier this month from an analyst hired by the San Francisco-based bank. The bank said there was no indication the information has been misused so far.
At the request of investigators, Wells Fargo will not say how many customers are affected. Wells has business relationships with 23 million households across the country.
