Chances to vote early extended by 3 days

It's now possible to vote early later.
The main office of the Pima County Recorder's Office will be open this weekend and Monday to accommodate "emergency voting."
Emergency voting is available to any registered voter unable to cast a ballot on Election Day.
Voters who can't get to their regular polling place or who will be out of town on Tuesday are expected to be among those who take advantage of the service, said Recorder F. Ann Rodriguez.
"There is a multitude of reasons why someone would want to do this," Rodriguez said.
The Recorder's Office, 115 North Church Avenue, will be open for emergency voting Saturday and Monday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be open on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Emergency voting will not be available on Election Day, when voters need to go to their assigned polling place.
Santa Cruz County Recorder Suzie Sainz said she will also offer "emergency voting" Saturday at her office, 2150 N. Congress Drive in Nogales, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In Pima County, allowing emergency voting will essentially extend, by three days, opportunities to vote early.
Friday remains the deadline to vote early, however, if you're going somewhere other than the main Recorder's Office.
