Feline fans enjoyed an evening of entertainment and kitty artwork Friday evening at La Encantada, 2905 E. Skyline Drive, as the Hermitage Cat Shelter held The Cat's Meow, a fundraiser for the no-kill, no-cage cat sanctuary in conjunction with Muttropolis and other local sponsors.
Guests sampled wine, hors d'oeuvres and other treats from local restaurants while watching an outdoor fashion show in the central courtyard and listening to songs performed by local vocalist Emilie Marchand.
Framed paw paintings by resident Hermitage cats were on hand for bidding, but several recent arrivals at the shelter stole the show. The fuzzy guests of honor were all too happy to be held, stroked, cuddled and otherwise fawned over by potential adopters.
