Kids and adults alike had the chance to enjoy an afternoon of fun when Canyon View Elementary School held its spring carnival and silent auction Sunday.
Admission was free, but people could buy wristbands for $12 for unlimited rides and carnival games, with all proceeds benefiting the school, 5725 N. Sabino Canyon Road.
Five-year-old Trevor Spencer took a liking to heights when he climbed a rope on a rock-climbing tower at the carnival. Spencer zipped up the line with no trouble at all.
His mother, Sarah Spencer, was a little surprised.
"After seeing how much he likes this, I'm thinking that I should have signed him up for a rocks-and-ropes program."
