Some men may deserve alimony, not Nick Lachey
Replies from students at Sahuarita High
Nick Lachey, of the now-defunct boy band 98 Degrees, could request spousal support in his divorce from singer Jessica Simpson. Sahuarita High School students were asked what they think about husbands seeking alimony from wives after a breakup.
"Spousal support should go to the spouse (who) for one reason or another can't support themselves or will have difficulty doing so. Nick Lachey is a talentless hack like his ex-wife, but he just doesn't have the fake breasts and the eating disorder that made Jessica a star. Tell him to tame his cheesy, gluttonous lifestyle and get a new sugar mama."

"I think it depends on each person and how much they make. If the wife made a lot of money and the husband didn't, then yes, she should. When it comes to those two, no, because they both are wealthy."

"I don't think that husbands or wives should seek alimony unless it's absolutely necessary, because I think everyone can support themselves. In Nick Lachey's case, I don't think he should receive anything because he isn't exactly the poorest man ever."

"I think it is more embarrassing for a husband to seek alimony. I think it is right for everyone to have equal rights. If the wife is the one who brings home the money, then it's fine. The husband should not take advantage of it."
