In early July, the Star sent questionnaires to legislative and supervisor candidates in the Sept. 2 primary, asking for a brief personal profile and stances on key issues that officeholders will confront.

Those who did not respond are identified as such. Their answers will be posted if the Star receives them.

Deadline today to register to vote in Sept. 2 primary

The deadline to register to vote in the Sept. 2 primary election is tonight at midnight.
Every registered voter, including independents, can vote in the primary.
The Pima County Recorder's Office will conduct curbside voter registration Downtown at 115 N. Church Ave. between 5 and 10 tonight.
You also can register to vote today at these locations:
● Main Recorder's Office, 115 N. Church Ave., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
● East Side Annex, 6920 E. Broadway, Suite D, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
● Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 601 E. Fort Lowell Road, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
