Share stories of favorite Thanksgiving with us, readers

Tucson, Arizona | Published: 11.21.2008
We love Thanksgiving and wanted a knock-your-socks-off idea to share that sentiment with readers. Thursday afternoon an idea plopped into the e-mail inbox from Gayle Beck, editorial page editor of The Repository in Canton, Ohio.
She asked her reader to describe their best Thanksgiving ever. She said stories have exceeded expectations.
For example, "My best Thanksgiving will be this one. I've been fighting cancer for two years now, and my oncologist has suggested that I contact hospice. However, I'm not ready to give up." He goes on to describe the Thanksgiving Day reunion he's planning with his four daughters.
We want to do the same thing here. Send us stories of your best Thanksgiving ever in 100 words or less and we'll print some Thursday. E-mail your stories to letters@azstarnet.com with Thanksgiving in the subject line. Include your name, address and phone number (for verification purposes only). Hurry, we need them by Tuesday at noon.
