● The Volunteer Center of Southern Arizona is looking for Experience Corps volunteers for their tutoring program. Adults over 55 can attend a free informal meeting on this opportunity at 9:30 a.m. Friday. Experience Corps members tutor children K-3 to improve their literacy skills. A stipend of $107.92 biweekly is provided to volunteers who work 15 hours a week. For more information call Linda Krause, 881-3300, Ext. 107.
● The Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation Environmental Education Section is seeking volunteers to assist staff with environmental education programs. The programs provide formal and informal activities for K-12 students and teachers both in the classroom and at Pima County parks. Participants must be 18 years old. ● The American Red Cross Biomedical Services is seeking volunteers to serve refreshments, converse with donors, check for signs of adverse reactions in donors and schedule appointments.
