1 A man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a dangerous drug at 9:36 p.m. Dec. 27 at Circle K, 11271 E. Tanque Verde Road. Someone called 911 to report that the store clerk was trying to buy heroin from customers and using drugs behind the counter. When deputies arrived the clerk helped three customers and then said he had to replace the canisters on the soda machine. He acted very anxious and said he had not done anything wrong. He agreed to let deputies search him. A stained piece of aluminum foil, part of a straw and a plastic bag containing a piece of heroin were found inside his wallet.
2Burglary was reported at 8:45 a.m. Dec. 26 at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, 7000 N. Resort Drive. Someone forced open a sliding-glass door to a suite. Two television sets and an iPod docking station were taken. One of the television sets, a tool, a swivel television stand, a power cord and a robe were left behind by the burglar and found just north of the suite.
3Fraud was reported at 6:38 p.m. Dec. 23 in the 3600 block of North Homestead Avenue. A resident told deputies someone made a duplicate of her bank card and charged more than $250 to her bank account. She said the charges were made in Las Vegas.
4Theft was reported at 8:18 a.m. Dec. 22 at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, 7000 N. Resort Drive. A security guard told deputies someone took three television sets, a DVD player and miscellaneous electronic equipment valued at $16,438 from two suites that are being remodeled. He said 14 private contracting companies and nine hotel employee have access to the suites.
5A 2006 Toyota Tacoma was reported stolen at 3:25 a.m. Dec. 13 in the 3300 block of North Camino de Piedras. The owner told deputies the following: He did not know his truck had been stolen until a family member called him at 3 a.m. The truck was found by the Tucson Police Department and had been set on fire. The police officer went to the address on his truck registration and he had recently moved.
