A 43-year-old man was found dead in an apartment hot tub after he apparently drowned, authorities said.

Robert Myers was found Friday evening in a hot tub at the Casas Adobes apartments, 6200 N. Oracle Road, said Capt. Adam Goldberg, a Northwest Fire District spokesman.

Two apartment residents saw Myers floating in the hot tub and at least one of them attempted CPR before paramedics arrived, Goldberg said.

Myers was taken to Northwest Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, he said.

Investigators are looking at the circumstances surrounding the drowning and are trying to determine if alcohol was involved, Goldberg said.
