Tucson police are looking for a 1-year-old girl who they say was taken from an East Side foster home Wednesday by her 17-year-old mother.
Manuela Martinez was last seen with her daughter, Diamond Kodalen, on Wednesday evening near East 22nd Street and South Prudence Road, said Sgt. Diana Lopez, a Tucson Police Department spokeswoman.
Detectives also received information that Martinez was seen on West Miracle Mile near Interstate 10 without her child, said Officer Linda Galindo, another police spokeswoman.
Diamond is considered to be a missing and endangered child, Lopez said.
Martinez, who lived with her daughter at the foster home, is described as 5 feet tall and weighing 150 pounds with light brown shoulder-length hair and a butterfly tattoo on her right shoulder. She was last seen wearing a brown tank top with blue basketball shorts, Lopez said.
Diamond has 2-inch-long dark-brown hair.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
