Tickets are available for the 27th annual YWCA Women on the Move awards banquet, which is set for Dec. 14 at the Westin La Paloma Resort.

"It's an evening to honor really outstanding women in the community," said Susan Tanner, director of women's leadership development for the YWCA.

The event, which begins at 5:30 p.m., will include a series of award presentations, including the handing out of 12 Women on the Move statuettes to women chosen from a list of 57 people nominated by the public.

Already announced honorees include Lifetime Achievement Award winners Mary Belle McCorkle, Priscilla Robinson and Jessie Zander, Iris Dewhirst President's Award winner Betsy Bolding and Business Leadership Award winner Jan Lesher. Also, JP Morgan Chase will be honored with the YWCA's Corporate Award.

Tickets for the banquet are $150 per person and can be purchased online at www.ywcatucson.org, by calling 884-7810, Ext. 106 or at the YWCA's local office at 525 N. Bonita Ave.

Tickets must be bought by Monday.
