What's new 
● All library branches are closed today for Thanksgiving and will reopen tomorrow. The Oro Valley Public Library, 1305 W. Naranja Drive, is an affiliate and is closed both days.
● The Craft A Month Series at Kirk-Bear Canyon Library continues in December with Tie-dyeing with Sylvia, which will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the library, 8959 E. Tanque Verde Road. Participants will tie-dye a canvas tote bag.
That month's previously scheduled craft event, Beading with Shirley, has been rescheduled to Feb. 3. January's craft event, Card Making with Mary, will be Jan 7.
Each workshop runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Class size is limited, so call the library at 594-5275 to reserve a spot.

Foothills-area libraries offer several programs for children and adults.
At the Dusenberry-River Library, 5605 E. River Road:
● A video-game club is held at 4 p.m. the second Thursday of each month for kids ages 10 to 18.
The Dusenberry-River branch is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays.
