Three men are in Pima County jail after police said they forced themselves into a home and held the residents at gunpoint during a robbery attempt.

Tucson police arrested Coven M. Baumgardner, 19, Ernesto R. Richards, 22 and Travis A. Degroot, 26 , Monday after they were suspected of breaking into a home in the 2600 block of East Manchester Street early that morning, said Sgt. Mark Robinson, a police spokesman.

The suspects forced three people to the floor while they searched for valuables, Robinson said.

One of the victims was hit by a firearm and received minor injuries, he said.

Richards and Baumgardner were arrested shortly after the incident, while Degroot was taken into custody after a brief standoff with police that afternoon, Robinson said.

The three men face charges of armed robbery, aggravated robbery, aggravated assault and kidnapping.
