El Tour de Tucson is today. As part of the bicycling event, some street closures are scheduled.
The eastbound Interstate 10 frontage road is scheduled to close at Congress Street from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. Traffic will be detoured to Congress Street and Stone Avenue.
The westbound I-10 frontage road is also scheduled to close between 22nd and Congress streets from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. Traffic will be diverted to 22nd Street and Sixth Avenue.
Drivers should watch for signs in the area.
No state highway closures over holiday
The Arizona Department of Transportation said there will be no closures on state highways during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Though no closures are planned, there are still several active work zones throughout the state that drivers should watch for, the Department of Transportation said.
La Cañada widening
Construction will continue at the intersection of North La Cañada Drive and West Naranja Drive next week.
Crews are scheduled to remove old asphalt and seal cracks at the intersection Monday through Wednesday.
Officers will direct traffic through the area during the work.
I-10 widening from Tangerine to Pinal Air Park roads
Intermittent right lane closures are scheduled in the project area in each direction from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day Monday through Wednesday.
The westbound off-ramp is scheduled to close from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Oracle Road widening
The right lane of westbound Tangerine Road is scheduled to close at Oracle Road on Monday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The right lane of northbound Oracle Road is scheduled to close each day Monday through Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. between Catalina State Park and Tangerine Road.
The right lane of southbound Oracle Road is scheduled to close Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day between Tangerine Road and Innovation Marketplace Drive.
