If you have questions about your Medicare health and drug coverage, a local event is designed for you.
Medicare beneficiaries and their caregivers are encouraged to attend the annual Medicare Health Fair today at Armory Park Senior Center for help making decisions during this fall's open-enrollment period, which begins Nov. 15 and ends on Dec. 31.
The Pima Council on Aging will join David Sayen, U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services' regional administrator, in advising those with Medicare to make the most of their health and prescription-drug benefits.
Some may see significant premium increases or changes if they don't choose the best plan for them, said Jim Murphy, CEO of the aging council.
There will be a number of people on hand to meet with and personally advise participants, as well as tables and booths with providers, Murphy said.
"We are trying to bring seniors together to let them know of the changes," Murphy said, "to help them make intelligent decisions."
