Crime-prevention, safety fair Saturday

The Tucson Police Department will host a crime-prevention and safety fair Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Keeling Elementary School, 2837 N. Los Altos Ave..
The event will feature a bike rodeo and free fingerprinting for children, along with Halloween safety items, according to a Tucson Police Department press release. Participants can also bring documents for shredding.
Officers from Operations Division West will team up with Tucson Medical Center's Desert Kids Safety Team to hand out free bicycle helmets. The division's community-resource team will offer free gun- safety locks, the press release said.
The department's motor officers also will provide child-safety-seat information and schedule individual inspections.
The Arizona Attorney General's Office, Tucson Police Explorer Post 180 and other agencies and programs will participate.
