Didgeridoo instructor: A group of veterans with untreated sleep apnea can benefit from group instruction on the didgeridoo.
Mentor middle school students: Tutor adolescents, grades six through eight, individually or in small groups. There are immediate openings before, during and after school. Volunteers are placed with specific students to maximize academic and interpersonal learning.
CPS secretary: Qualified volunteers are needed at local Child Protective Services offices. Requirements include knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
Data detective: Keep an interfaith HIV/AIDS network in touch with volunteers and donors. Use the phone, phone book or Internet as resources to obtain correct contact information for the database.
Health department drivers: Mobile medical and dental clinics need on-call drivers who have experience operating and maintaining a 35-foot motor home.

Make outdoor signs: Produce directional signs for an outdoor museum. Materials include particleboard, paint and vinyl letters. Manual precision and carpentry skills are required.
Maintenance: A children's advocacy group needs help maintaining its facility. Projects may include furniture assembly, repairs, landscaping, painting and moving furniture.
