If it doesn't quite feel like fall to you, take a drive up cool Mount Lemmon to check out an arts and crafts fair and barbecue Sunday.
Besides the weather, another cool thing about the event is that it will benefit the Summerhaven Community Center and the Mount Lemmon Fire Department.
Thirty-three artists and craftspeople are signed up to peddle their wares from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and they'll give 10 percent of their profits to the community center, said fair organizer Cathie Logan.
The Mount Lemmon Fire Department will be selling hot dogs and hamburgers to benefit the department, and the Bad News Blues band will perform.
The fair is free and there is no cost to park, but be sure to bring money for arts and crafts and food.
A separate event on the mountain, Oktoberfest, is being held at Ski Valley from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 12.
Parking, which is limited, is $4 per vehicle.
