A wheel on a Union Pacific freight train derailed near Willcox on Friday afternoon, causing 400 gallons of diesel fuel to spill, officials said.
When the wheel from one of the train's locomotives left the track, it caused debris to fly up and puncture another locomotive's engines, said Carol Capas, a Cochise County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman.
There were no injuries reported, but the company sent a hazardous-materials team to clean up the site, said Union Pacific spokeswoman Zoe Richmond.
