A 45-year-old man accused of having sex with a 15-year-old girl and stalking her once she tried to distance herself from him has been arrested.
Greg Andersen of Maricopa was booked into the Pinal County jail after the girl reported that they had been having sexual relations over a six-month period, according to Vanessa White, a Pinal County sheriff's spokeswoman.
She said Andersen also took nude photos of the teen and posted them on a Web site.
The girl recently returned a cell phone that Andersen had bought her, left the state and got a new phone to which he wouldn't have the number, White said.
Andersen is a senior engineer for Verizon, however, and was able to obtain her new phone number, White said.
After she moved, Andersen reportedly bought a car and told the teen it was for her, White said.
He also asked her to marry him on several occasions, despite his already being married.
Andersen remained in jail Thursday on charges that include sexual conduct with a minor, sexual abuse, stalking, filming minors engaged in sexual conduct and masquerading as a minor, White said.
