An East Side restaurant will close its doors after opening a year and a half ago.

The Mona Lisa Corleone restaurant, at 6632 E. Tanque Verde Road, will close at 9:30 tonight because of rising food prices and a decreasing profit margin, said Justin Hill, a manager at the restaurant.

"We're victims of a poor economy," he said.

The restaurant's bar will stay open this week, through next Sunday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and its nightclub will be open from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

The restaurant opened in April 2007 after the owner bought a building that had sat vacant for about 20 years, Hill said.
