TOMBSTONE — Twin brothers from Tombstone are set to be deployed to Iraq this week.
Lance Cpls. David and Tony Lopez enlisted in the Marine Corps after graduating from Tombstone High School last year. The two were placed in the same company and were together again for infantry training.
Both ended up at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, Calif., from where they'll both be deployed this week. They're both headed to Iraq, but with different companies.
The brothers visited family and friends in Tombstone and Sierra Vista over the weekend.
Their deployments aren't the only thing the two have in common. Both will leave behind pregnant wives who are due to deliver while they're in Iraq.
"We haven't even left yet, and I can think about us just getting back," Tony Lopez said.
His daughter is due in October, and David's baby is due in April.
