With songs like "Who's-Gonna-Run-the-Truck-Stop-in-Tuba-City-When-I'm-Gone Blues" and "Ain't No Catfish in Ajo," is it any wonder that Dolan Ellis was named Arizona's State Balladeer? The singer-songwriter was in Tucson on Aug. 6, 1973, to begin a one-month engagement at the Vintage Room of the Ramada Inn. Ellis, who has been balladeer since 1966, performs at concerts throughout the state and regularly at the Arizona Folklore Preserve in Ramsey Canyon.
