Two men seriously wounded in a shooting stumbled into the lobby of a motel across the street from the Pima Community College Downtown Campus on Friday morning.
Police responded to a call about 10:45 a.m. from a clerk at the Rodeway Inn, 1238 N. Stone Ave., saying two bloodied men were in the motel's lobby, according to Sgt. Mark Robinson, a Tucson police spokesman.
The victims' injuries appeared to be life-threatening, and one of the men went into surgery at University Medical Center about 12:30 p.m., he said. The men appeared to be in their mid-20s, and one of them was "associated" with a room at the motel.
Robinson had no information on a possible motive. There were reports of gunshots in the area about the time of the 911 call, Robinson said.
