After weeks of practice, the Up With People cast was ready to take its show on the road — although, for the Tucson-based entertainment group, that first road was a short one, compared with the world travels that lay ahead for it. On July 26, 1978, the residents of the Marshall Home for Men on Tucson's South Side were treated to a mini-concert performed by one of the four touring casts. During the visit, cast member Alison Klein shared a laugh with resident John Waggener.
