'Queen of the Night' gets her close-up

Sisters Rebecca Bauer, left, and Kacie Bauer, both 9, take photos of the night blooming cereus during the annual Bloom Night at Tohono Chul Park. Hundreds of people turned out to see, smell and photograph the Peniocereus greggii, which blooms for only one night a year. The rest of the year, this native Sonoran Desert plant looks like a dry stick.
