Authorities have not released the identity of a woman found dead inside the car of a missing Tucson woman.
An autopsy will be conducted today and officials with the Pima County Sheriff's Department hope they will be able to positively identify the woman at that time.
The car belongs to Gayle Katherine Patrick, 66, who was last seen March 11 at her church in the 11000 block of East Irvington Road. Neighbors reported her missing after they hadn't seen her or her car — a silver 2001 Chrysler Concorde — at her home on the Northeast Side.
Since then, some of her property was found within city limits. Her car was found Monday night at the Nottinghill Apartments, 2660 N. Alvernon Way, near East Glenn Street, after a resident called to report that it was parked in the parking lot.
Patrick has a physical disability that causes her to walk with a limp to the right side, the Sheriff's Department said.
She is 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 105 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line of the Pima County Attorney's Office.
