Snowfall predicted for nearby mountains

Snow is expected in the mountains surrounding Tucson today and Monday as part of the storm system blowing in from California, the National Weather Service said.
There is a 50 percent chance of showers today in the Tucson area, and up to an inch of snow could fall in elevations above 8,000 feet.
By tonight, the snow level will drop to 6,000 feet, and up to 2 to 4 inches of snow is expected to fall, the weather service said.
By late afternoon today, the temperature in Tucson will be about 61 degrees and should drop to 45 overnight.
Monday will bring snow in elevations above 5,500 feet.
Tucson is due to have partly cloudy skies, a high of 56 degrees and a low of 37 on Monday.
