At least one person was critically injured in an East Side crash that involved four vehicles, one of which would end up driving through the front of a business, Tuesday night.
The collisions occurred just before 7 p.m. when a woman was heading east on Broadway near Wilmot Road in a 2004 Jeep Liberty, according to Officer Dallas Wilson, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
The Jeep struck a vehicle that was stopped at a red light, forcing it into another vehicle, Wilson said.
The driver of the Jeep continued down Broadway toward Kolb, where her vehicle hit a 1994 Toyota truck as it was pulling out of a shopping center.
The Jeep then was driven into the front of the Gaslight Print Shop before stopping, Wilson said. The driver of the Toyota was in critical condition Tuesday night.
Information was not available on the driver of the Jeep or the people in the first two vehicles that were hit.
Investigators were working late Tuesday to determine the cause of the crash, which shut down all travel on Broadway between Jessica Avenue and Kolb, Wilson said.
