A man died Monday night in Green Valley when the sport utility vehicle he was driving rolled over in a single-vehicle crash, an official said.

James Libby, 62, was thrown from his Mercedes-Benz after losing control of the vehicle, said Deputy Dawn Hanke, a spokeswoman for the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

Libby was not wearing a seat belt, Hanke said.

He was driving southbound on South Camino de la Canoa, just south of East White House Canyon Road, when the wreck occurred just after 7 p.m., she said.

No one else was in the vehicle.

Investigators weren't sure what caused the crash, Hanke said.
