In-N-Out Burger opens 2nd local outlet today
In-N-Out Burger confirmed it will open its second Pima County location today at 10:30 a.m. in Arizona Pavilions at West Cortaro Road and Interstate 10.
Carl Van Fleet, vice president of planning and development, said he expects the new location to take some of the strain off the El Con Mall In-N-Out, which opened in April, though he doesn't think there will be as much hoopla about this opening.
But Marana officials are still preparing for increased traffic, said Fernando Prol, town traffic-engineering manager.
Staffers have been working on a plan for six months to deal with the expected increase, he said.
Marana spokesman Rodney Campbell said it's possible this opening will draw even more people than the El Con opening.
"We think it's going to be even busier here because you'll have people coming off the interstate," he said.
