The path on the south side of the Rillito River between Dodge Boulevard and Campbell Avenue will be closed intermittently over the next month.

Colorado River Materials Inc., a contractor working for the Pima County Regional Flood Control District, will be removing sediment deposited in the river bottom during last summer's floods.

Work will start Monday. Hours of operation will be from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The earth-moving will last about a month. During that time, the path on the south bank may be closed temporarily as needed.
