A motorcyclist was killed Thursday morning when he collided with a truck at a South Side intersection, police said.
Johnny Pena, 42, was driving a 2000 Yamaha motorcycle east on West Ajo Way when a northbound truck on South 12th Avenue made a right turn on a red light in front of him, said Officer Frank Amado, of the Tucson Police Department.
Pena died at University Medical Center.
The driver of the 2004 GMC Sierra truck, 22-year-old Steven A. Bracamonte, was not seriously injured.
No citations have been issued pending the results of an investigation.
