Tucson police have arrested a man wanted in connection with an April homicide.
Anthony Sanchez Bejarano, 36, was arrested Sunday at a motel in the 3700 block of East Irvington Road, said Officer Dallas Wilson, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
Bejarano is charged with suspicion of first-degree murder related to the slaying of Sergio Morales-Galaviz, 21, outside a home in the 900 block of West Hawaii Drive on April 13. He is being held in the Pima County jail in lieu of $1 million bond.
Police have said Bejarano was driving the white Infiniti sedan involved in a kidnapping attempt that led to the shooting.
Also wanted for first-degree murder in connection with the case is Juan Ortiz Diaz, 28, of Tucson.
Police have declined to say whether either man is suspected of being the shooter.
Bejarano previously has been convicted of forgery, weapons misconduct, assault, disorderly conduct, making threats and possession of drug paraphernalia, online court records show.
Anyone with information about the shooting incident ask asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line of the Pima County Attorney's Office.
