The slaying of a man at a West Side home Wednesday was not a random act, police said.
The home was targeted by the suspects, however police declined to elaborate on their reason for doing so.
No arrests had been made Thursday in the slaying of 35-year-old Christopher A. Clark.
Clark was killed and another man was injured in what police say was a possible home invasion.
Police have yet to release a motive or any suspect information in this case, which occurred in the 1900 block of North Atwood Avenue, near West Ironwood Hill Drive and North Greasewood Road.
Authorities were notified of the incident by a neighbor who said that a man came to their door and said he had been shot, according to Sgt. Mark Robinson, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
Officers went to the neighborhood where they found Clark dead inside of another home.
Police say that several armed men went into the home where the two men were inside with a 4-year-old child.
One of the intruders pushed the child to the floor.
The man who went to the neighbor’s home suffered non life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line of the Pima County Attorney’s Office.
